A Crayon! "Cosmic Cobalt" to be exact.
And this is Ashley, she was "Licorice."

We: went shopping, ate delicious food, made an awesome giant crayon box, saw old friends, and tasted chocolate bread for the first time (amazing).
A common theme for me through out the weekend was thoughts on community. I know I have told you about this before: the amazing feeling of being known (a neighbor honking hello as they drive by, that sort of thing).
On saturday night Ashley invited a bunch of our friends over for dinner, for those of you who know these names they were: Justin Wright, Danny Moen, Marisa Collier, Marisa's boyfriend Matt, Justin Kramer, and then Ashley's roomies. The following morning a group of us (Ash, Marisa, me, Justin Wright, Danny and his wife Allison) went to coffee together. It. was. Divine. To say the least. We have been in Portland for two years now and just haven't had enough time to build relationships like we have with these people. Building relationships takes time, lots of time, and I've basically spent 8 + years with these people. I can't remember the last time that specific group of people was sitting around a table together and it did my heart so good. I love sharing life with them. Anyway... here are pictures from the weekend, unfortunately, there aren't very many...
"Trunk or Treat" is a carnival put on by Ashley's church. Everyone parks there cars in a line and decorates the trunk of there car for the kids to come by and pick up there candy. There was also games and carnival food. It was really fun to be a part of.

Ashley, Anna, Kate, and Taylor, Thank you for welcoming me into your adorable apartment and letting me be apart of the fun halloween plans! It was so good to see all of you.
Hope all you blog readers out there had a great halloween weekend as well. Now, off to have lunch with the Scoville-cousin and his girl (Caleb and Nina). Happy Saturday!
